Cooking Magazines

Carla at Chocolate Moosey wrote about receiving a copy of Taste of Home Magazine from me. It seems the only magazines I subscribe to lately are cooking magazines. I think all of Reiman Publications are exceptional - no advertising. I also subscribe to Paula Deen's magazine which I think is one of the most beautiful cooking magazines around and the recipes are very good. I also subscribe to Rachael Ray's magazine which is pretty good and Bon Appetit (which was a free subscription and nice to look at, although I doubt I'd make too many of the recipes. )
Recently I got a postcard for a trial issue of Taste of the South. I'm definitely going to subscribe to this one. I think I'm starting to look at magazines more than cookbooks because of the pictures.

You'll have to let me know how Taste of the South is. Judging by the cover, it looks amazing! And I also love ToH because like you said, ad-free and 98% of the recipes I would actually make. I got a deal for $10 for 6 issues, so I can't wait until the next one comes out!

I've picked up Taste of the South before, and enjoyed it. Is Paula part of that one too? Maybe she's a special contributor or something.
I like Bon Appetite too. They're a little less "gourmet" than Gourmet magazine. Lol.

Carla: I think you'd like this one. There are ads but even they are pretty! What a great deal of ToH -- good for you.

Emiline: I don't think Paula is part of this magazine, but it is very similar to hers. It's really pretty. Take care and stay dry!

I have to make a correction. It seems that Taste of South is the same publisher as Paula Deen's magazine. I had sent a letter making sure it was okay that I post the picture of the magazine and I got a letter back saying that was okay and was also told that Hoffman Media was the same publisher. It's obvious because they are both excellent magazines.
